What is CWPMA?

The purpose of the Colorado Wyoming Petroleum Marketers Association is to promote trade and related industries; promote good policy and sound business principles; promote fair enactment of state and federal legislation and regulations relating the petroleum marketing; to serve the members through programs or communications to educate on good principles, regulatory and legislative issues.

UCR Registration Due; New Colorado Minimum Wage in Effect

Colorado Legislative Session

Colorado General Assembly

Colorado's General Assembly will convene on January 10th 2018 and then Adjourn on May 9th, 2018 

This year the association will be working on:

  1. Pilot project pertaining to EJMT
  2. Statewide Tobacco regulations
  3. Reciprocity between states for Workers compensation
  4. ADA Right to Cure legislation for Colorado
  5. A reasonable regulatory Environment for current 3.2 license holders to sell Regular beer beginning 1/1/19
  6. The potential inclusion of Airports into the Petroleum storage tank fund

Members will receive consistent updates and have the chance to weigh in with staff and the Board of Directors throughout the session on technical changes and key components of what will ultimately become law.  . For other industry members or partners, feel free to give the Association a call and we will give you a general overview of what we will be working to change this session.

Wyoming State Legislature

2/12/18 - 5/1/18

The 2018 Budget Session will convene with the Joint Session of the Legislature and the Governor’s State of the State address February 12 at 10 a.m. Cheyenne at the Jonah Business Center temporary Capitol. As always, the legislature will hit the ground running is what is one of the hardest working legislatures in the country.

Wyoming has experience a busy interim Committee session and may things have been discussed 

Items that may be discussed during the session include:

  • Workers Compensation reciprocity
  • I-80 Study - tolling, climbing lanes, move over law
  • Lottery authority - scratch, debit card issue
  • Property / Use Tax / Sales proposals - budget deficit
  • Protecting storage tank fund from landfills
  • Statewide cigarette stamping
  • Campaign finance restrictions
  • Motor vehicle fee increases
  • Budget concerns
